Hi All! I lived in Baie Verte from 1962 to around 1972. I was pretty young when we left but still remember lots of good times as a child there. I am looking forward to coming back next year (for the first time) for the celebrations & am looking forward to seeing old friends!

I lived in Baie Verte from 1960 - 1967 and have many happy memories of growing up and going to grade school there. I have never forgotten my childhood and my friends but have never been fortunate enough to make it back. I have hours and hours of 8mm movie film documenting the building of Rambler Mine and the town that I would like to share as it was history in the making so if anyone out there has any ideas on how to make this happen it would be great. Thanks!

Hello, I was born and raised in Baie Verte from 1972 to 1979. Left when I was really young. Most people probably knew my mom and dad Peter and Rose Walsh. We will be in Nfld next summer and would love to stop in to Baie Verte but not really sure if we would still know anybody there?

I see the momentum building for the BIG ONE... Baie Verte Come Home Year 2008 !! The Collins family will make the trek from BC (that's British Columbia, not Brent's Cove) and join the ruckus. Hope some folks from the Class of '86 will count themselves in. Should be great ... cya then.

I really enjoyed browsing the site, loved the pics... keep putting them up. Lots of memories. I am a looooong way from home but hoping to be able to get back next year. It's been about 11 years. Seems like a lot of people coming home, Baie Verte will be a booming town again! Safe journey everyone.

Sure great to see the pictures of our old hometown, haven't been back there since the year of the "Matthew" tour. It will always be home for me and my "high school sweetheart" husband. Lots of memories from working at the Town Hall there as well. Still recognize a lot of the names mentioned on this site, that is great. See you all next year.

Hello Baie Verte, it`s been awhile. Haven't been home since 2001, and yes it will always be home. I've been gone for over 17 years now but have so many vivid memories of growing up there. Hopefully can make it home for 2008 and see a lot of old faces. Take care everyone!!

Great to see the site. Sharon and I would love to get more information on the 2008 Come Home Year Festivities. We are traveling from Northwestern Ontario and would like to start planning our trip early in the fall. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing everyone next summer. It will be 14 years since we have been to Baie Verte.

In July, my husband & I will be travelling to Newfoundland for the FIRST time. In the past couple of years, I've been in touch with a family member (apparently I have several still living in Newfoundland) on my mother's side of the family. We are excited about this trip, meeting family members, getting to know them & a part of my family history! This is a great website. I'm learning lots about Newfoundland. Thank you!
