Hi Everyone

Whenever we think of home it will always be Baie Verte. Life was great growing up there and we miss the many friends we left behind. We hope to return for a visit some day soon. Take care all.

Greetings,
My father-in-law, wife, kids and I are going to be making our way to your fine town in the summer. Father-in-law grew up there, he hasn't been home since he left when he was in his late teens. The stories he tells of diving into the ocean off of icebergs that make their way into the bay...I have to see this place! We are all really excited and look forward to having some great times with new friends and old family. I hope the beer is cold and the seafood plentiful!

Fond memories of the summer of 1972 at the MJ Boylen Hospital. As a 3rd year nursing student from U of Toronto, my friend Cathy & I had the experience of a lifetime ! The staff affectionately called us "cheeky mainlanders nurses". Friendly families like the Barkers from Coachmans Cove treated us to Sunday Jig's Dinners and friendship...I smile remembering the fun & the music...looking forward to a visit this summer...
With appreciation, Lou Evans

I was fortunate to spend all my teenage years growing up in Baie Verte and think of it most often. I have 3 children of my own and wish I could raise them in such a beautiful paradise with friendly people and a huge natural playground. Hello to anyone who remembers me. See you again sometime. Cheers!!!!!!!!!! .

Great site wonderful community but you should have a listing of the churches in town and the time of their services and minister etc. We visited but couldn't find out those detsils for our worship experience while visiting the community. Checked the site and there was no help there either. Thanks you have much to be proud of in Baie Verte :!cry:

I was Googling BV and all of a sudden I was back in Baie Verte where I lived from 1960-1967. I was a teacher at the school and my then husband Jack was at Advocate. My daughters were born in BV. I recognize the names of several of my pupils. I am so relieved that they survived my first years teaching. I knew that there was a reunion planned but I was working in Sub-saharan Africa. So good to remember the good times. I miss Newfoundland. Hugs to my "little ones".

Was born at Baie Verte and did my schooling there. Had a service station business there and was very pleased with the amount of support I received from the people of the Baie Verte peninsula, I thank you people for that. I gave them the first ever break on gas prices and should return and set up another filling station. It is my home and I have a lot of fond memories from there.
